"You Better Run"- Stories of Legendary Blues Artist Junior Kimbrough. I will be interviewing my friend and Hill Country Blues legend Eric Deaton fresh off tour with the The Black Keys!
In "Burnside Style" Episode 2 we revisit a 22 year old never before heard field recording I did of The Blind Jim's Radio Show in Oxford Mississippi. This is arguably the last solo steel guitar show R.L. Burnside performed before he passed in 2005.

I grew up in Mississippi always loving the blues. Thank you Adam Smith! Your podcast really takes me back to my roots!! Bravo!
So far in the series Adam’s episodes have centered around North Mississippi musical luminaries RL Burnside & Junior Kimbrough. Adam’s talent and amazing photography work is what brought me to this podcast. Quality subject matter and historically significant field recordings are what has captured my attention. Great listen for music fans or fans of Southern culture and history. I hit subscribe because more episodes have got to be in the works ...am I right?
Man we were in Oxford at a great time. Some of my best memories were out at Kimbroughs, and Blind Jim’s watching RL and Junior. Adam had a front seat view, this pod is awesome. Y’all should check out his photos from the time. Incredible. Great job Adam
I am fascinated by all the hill country blues players. I am so thankful Adam captured these moments with these blues greats.
