  • I really wish it was better

In the desert of proper indie game dev podcasts, this comes close to being something. It’s to the point. However the content is superficial. I listened maybe 5 episodes just to stop around halfway because it’s too longwinded, too subjective or just uninteresting. I hope this show improves.

  • Absolutely amazing

I have only listened to one episode and I’m already hooked and the upload rate is much better than my other game dev podcasts and this podcasts is t just straight interviews over and over this podcast is much like Zackavelli’s game dev field guide podcasts it teaches and helps new devs learn rather than just interviews

  • Meh

How is doing one 20 minute episode a week too demanding for you?

Very little actionable advice to take away. How do you avoid burn out? Take breaks! Brilliant!

Doesn’t even let his wife talk about her side of development which gives me Harrison Butker vibes.

Very clear he’s only doing the bare minimum to sell ads.

Which I guess is aspirational. Upgraded to two stars.

A samurai avocado is a fun idea though.

  • A very nice indie-podcast

Sure, this podcast doesn’t offer the professional quality that you average full-time podcaster has.

HOWEVER, the host - being a one-man-show - offers great, authentic advice which personally helps me a ton as a student who wants to create games independently too.

They dive into interesting topics, and all these compact 20 minute episodes feature a great conclusion.

In the world of gamedev podcasts, a big recommend for me. Keep up the amazing work!!
