  • Morning Glory indeed

Mike’s show is the best for confronting corrupt politicians and parties; he scares them so much, they do not want to appear on the chair opposite him. No one is safe from Mike’s sledgehammer type of interview which is refreshing; even Lords are not protected by their titles. Must listen or watch it on YouTube for the total experience.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

What Are You Giving Up?
Q: What happens if Andy Burnham joins Westminster to challenge Starmer?
There is speculation that Burnham could enter Westminster, triggering internal party debates and potential by-elections; Starmer may resist, leading to a leadership contest if pressures mount.
Will Starmer stand firm if he has serious competition?
Q: What would be the consequence if Starmer were replaced or faced a leadership challenge?
The discussion frames Starmer as a determined, resilient leader who would fight any leadership contest and remain in power, implying that a leadership change could destabilize Labour but also reshape the political landscape depending on who succeeds.
Will Starmer stand firm if he has serious competition?
Q: Do you think Kemi and Nigel should do a deal to save Britain?
The panelists suggest that such a deal could be strategically possible but would hinge on both parties' willingness to cooperate in a hung parliament, with concerns about betrayal of core voters and the potential for a wider coalition to reshuffle leadership.
Golders Green Attack
Q: Why isn't the government prescribing extremist organizations like the IRGC and Muslim Brotherhood?
Guests argue that political inertia, bureaucratic resistance, and concerns about government unity across departments prevent decisive action; there is a demand for a whole-government, consistent approach and clear leadership.
He Lied, Lied And Lied Again
Q: Why did Mandelson's appointment become such a focal point for controversy?
Because documents and testimony suggested the vetting was rushed and there were close ties between Mandelson and people in Downing Street, raising concerns about integrity and independence in the appointment.
