Dan and Janice are home again, the trip is over, and usually that's very sad. But this time it feels different: everyone's energized and excited to do new things here at home.
It's the final night in Evangeline, and the whole family is here to look back on the whole trip. It's been a long and good one, there's a lot to remember.
It's the second-to-last overnight and Dan and Janice are back in Iowa City. And being back on the same path that the trip started on gives some perspective on where they were and where they are now.
The heat wave that had been plaguing Nebraska the last few days has finally broken. And it turns out, this whole summer has been about just missing dramatic weather events.

As a fellow Airstreamer, this podcast makes me so happy. I found it recently, still on season 1, but am enjoying it so much. Dan and Janice are hilarious and so relatable. More seasons, please?
Tried three episodes. So slow and repetitive. Hosts lack any voice inflection.
This podcast makes me smile and laugh and just generally happy.
So glad you guys are back! Can’t wait to follow along this summer.
Tried three episodes. So slow and repetitive.
This delightful travel journal is created by two lovely parents and a couple of creative kids onboard their camping trailer named Evangeline. The episodes are short but full of honest personality and zero pretension. I’m so happy to hear they’re on the road again, dodging Covid should add a less happy element to the season, but I’m psyched to travel with them. Stay safe Dan and Janice!
