This podcast is a little gem. It’s little, in that it’s about a narrow topic mostly for criminal law professors and legal historians. It’s a gem, in that the presenter is engaging, thoughtful, and interesting. Great stuff.
This is a fantastic podcast. To be sure, it is not likely to appear to a wide audience, but for anyone with interest in the history of law—particularly English law and its relation to modern law—this is a great listen. Kudos to the creator!
I saw a post about this show on Reddit so thought I would give it a try, since I enjoy history and true crime podcast. I listened to all episodes straight away. The show is well researched and the host spends time making sure to explain the legal side of things but also the historical context surrounding cases and law. It’s actually a great insight into not only history and murder, but the social context of murder; the death penalty and many other contemporary issues. Can’t wait for more.
A great look at this interesting subject. I didn’t think that I would like the history of law, but it’s a fascinating subject, and I think that this podcast is shaping up to be a really thorough look at it.
