DC will need a congressional vote on a bill that would make DC the 51st state, and more likely have a filibuster proof majority of 60 votes.

Q: What are some of the accomplishments you'd say you're most proud of in making in your role as Shadow Rep for DC?
One of the biggest things that I'm proud of is getting people to run for office, getting people to inspire folks. It's really made something to me.

Q: Can you talk a bit about the relationship between shadow representatives and representatives in the US. House of Representatives? What is that connection like?
Our relationship is built off of our own ability to get up there. I've been really able to make those relationships not only with congressmembers and senators, but also the people that really had made the thought that makes sense in congress.
