  • Jo creates the conversations our profession needs but rarely has.

I was lucky enough to be a guest on this podcast, and even from that side of the microphone I walked away thinking differently about my own work. Jo has a rare ability to hold space for the messy, complicated reality of being a clinician; the parts that don't fit the textbook, the career paths that don't follow the template, the moments where doing the right thing for clients means getting creative with systems that weren't built for you. Five stars without hesitation.

There is so much gold in the Shani Taylor episode. Through Jo’s expertise as a host she is able to create one fun and engaging ride. Jo and Shani’s raw and vulnerable sharing brings to light the ability that not only health care professionals, but everyone can benefit from doing your inner work and then shining your light out into the world to be of service. • My Solution Services, Inc

Jo is brilliant! She is not one to sugar coat or say only the things one wishes to hear, but has the confidence to speak truth! My kind of entrepreneur!

Her way of reaching to the core of what needs to be talked about and said to clinicians and entrepreneurs- has been revolutionizing mental health professional for years.

With her brightness, knowledge and skills, and of course her fabulous Australian tongue, this makes for great listening and learning.

S5_10_How Clinicians can build online income without hustling forever with Maelisa McCaffrey
Q: How did you handle expectations around growth and avoid chasing unrealistic numbers early on?
I focused on steady, data-informed progress, using surveys to learn what people actually want, and allowed that feedback to shape offerings rather than forcing rapid, unsustainable growth. That meant patience, testing, and iterating over several years.
S5_10_How Clinicians can build online income without hustling forever with Maelisa McCaffrey
Q: What was the core pivot that allowed you to move from seeing clients to building an online, scalable business?
The pivot came from recognizing a real need among clinicians for documentation support, which I could deliver online. By focusing on a niche, building an email list, and gradually expanding through courses and mini-workshops, I created scalable revenue without sacrificing the quality of care.
S5_04 Clinical Responsibility inn Complex Systems. How 1 Pharmacist rethought medication management
Q: What brought you to pivot from traditional pharmacy into this insurance-specific role?
A desire to have broader impact on patient outcomes led to creating IMM and AllMed, which address the systemic issues of fragmented care and oversight in medications across multiple providers and insurers.
S5_04 Clinical Responsibility inn Complex Systems. How 1 Pharmacist rethought medication management
Q: How does your AllMed system help non-clinicians triage medication risks effectively?
AllMed provides an instant risk assessment by processing pharmacy receipts, doctor lists, and dispense histories, allowing case managers to triage claims by risk level and focus pharmacist input where it's needed most.
S5_04 Clinical Responsibility inn Complex Systems. How 1 Pharmacist rethought medication management
Q: What's the number one piece of advice you'd give to clinicians who see a problem and think they've got a solution but others won't adopt it?
Don't assume a change must be dramatic; start with curiosity, present a practical framework, and engage doctors with respectful dialogue to establish trust and drive gradual improvements in medication management.
