  • Re: night of black knives

Marika was likely involved. Not only did her numen sisters participate, but she had the greatest motive, to strike down Godwyn who was the golden boy of the golden order, which Marika wanted to destroy to free herself from the prison of godhood under the control of the Greater Will.

  • Enjoyable and Informative

I love the world building of Elden Ring but going through the game can make me miss a lot of important details. This podcast has been so good at contextualizing everything in a way that helps me see new things as I play. It’s also really enjoyable to hear two people having intelligent discussions about something they love. One thing I’d love to see discussed is the influence of various mythology and folklore on the game, because there’s so much there.

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

65: The Deathbirds and Death Rite Birds
Q: Can you give me good starting class or build suggestions for Elden Ring?
Starting as an Astrologer is simple for a spellcaster build, while for a quick swordfighter, using a lightning build themed after Sekiro's Tomoe is effective.
44: Dragonlord Placidusax
Q: How do you think this fight compares with those other two?
Placidusax was more intimidating and impressive in terms of display, though the Millenia fight is tougher.
67: Elden Ring as an Introduction to FromSoftware
Q: What are some tips for new players starting with Elden Ring?
Focus on finding your playstyle and don't be discouraged by others' experiences with builds.
67: Elden Ring as an Introduction to FromSoftware
Q: What were some of the big moments for you in your first playthrough?
I found each boss unique and challenging, like Godric, who had surprising abilities.
67: Elden Ring as an Introduction to FromSoftware
Q: What about Elden Ring drew you in that maybe you didn't think clicked the first time you tried Dark Souls 3?
Elden Ring felt more user-friendly and was the first in its own series without ties to earlier games.
