Barry’s a great interviewer and these podcasts provide a relaxed yet fascinating insight into how the Fringe has evolved over the years. Well worth a listen, either as a first time visitor, a potential performer, or a regular. Thanks for taking the time to make this series!
The Fringe is so huge and complex that a podcast like this, in its 'Seven Blind Men and the Elephant' sort of way, might be the best way to really get a sense of it. Barry Ferns is an excellent interviewer, witty and knowing just the right questions to get his performers talking, and some of their stories are amazing! (I could have listened to Kate Copstick and Andy Smart for three hours.) If I had any criticism it would be that it'd be interesting to hear the experiences of more non-comedi... more
