So awesome! Even if the topics were not of interest to me (which they are!) the openness and exploratory nature of these intelligent, nuanced conversations are everything my brain needs.
The DoubleBlind Magic Hour is seriously a breath of fresh air when it comes to podcasts discussing psychedelics! I love that the host and the guests don’t shy away from addressing the broader societal implications of psychedelics, including issues of accessibility, legality, and ethical use. I’ve become not only more informed but also inspired to think critically about the role of psychedelics in modern society. Excited to continue listening in!
The show is super informative and interesting (love everything else DB does) but the theme music is anxiety inducing and pretty annoying. Maybe it’s supposed to simulate a bad trip? It’s really distracting and repeats throughout the episode so it’s difficult to know when to fast forward. I hope they can replace it so I can listen again. For now, it’s a pass.
I’m new to psychedelics and have read articles about big pharma in the space; but didn’t know anything about how existing patents can be infringing on the ability of new startups to make psychedelics available to consumers. Don’t yawn…the episode is packed full of other topics too that were both informative and interesting. Love that someone is covering all aspects of psychedelics in a way that is both easy to understand and timely.
