Christopher and Eric are the perfect recipe of snark, heart and hilarity! They approach their subject matter with respect to the victims, hysterical critique of the true crime show productions (NO MORE REENACTMENTS FOR THE LOVE OF GOD but also keep doing them because I live for the reviews) and priceless banter between two lifelong friends.
Chris and Eric's show feels like the banter between a forensic pathologist and a hardened homicide detective. They deal with morbid and macabre subjects with equal parts sensitivity and wit (Chris and Eric, True Crime Television Review). Classic TDPS is a salad of amazing guests, great recurring sketch comedy, and insights into the writing process and their lives in West Hollywood.
The original and best. The podcast that got me into podcasts. Sadly, no new episodes for years but the back catalogue is well worth a visit. Long live Jordan Ampersand!
I would give you a ten star rating but you haven't had a new episode in so long I'm not even sure if you're still on the air. 😥🐓💨
If you like a mix of politics, pop culture, news and comedy then this is the show for you. The writing is top notch as you would expect from New York Times best-selling authors but not high brow. Christopher Rice's "Sherman" is the perfect foil for Eric Shaw Quinn's "Mr. Peabody." So set your WABAC machine to enjoy music from the 50s to the 2000's and relax for an hour with scintillating dinner conversation.
