I was excited about this being a quality production. I stuck around for about 15 minutes and even skipped around to random spots. The main host sounds like he has marbles in his neck, nobody remembers to keep the microphone in front of them, and there’s this weird ringing cricket sound continuously. I’m out. These ain’t professionals. Not even on the same map.

I enjoy the podcast but at times it is clear that they have used an LLM to generate parts of their script and didn’t bother to edit out blatant AI-isms (one example from recent episode there are things that no human actually says but that you hear from LLMs all the time: “and I wanna be honest here because it’s why some of those men never made it out - the radios that day genuinely failed a lot of people”. They just don’t research their topics well enough, often have no grasp of history or the chronology of events, too often they just lack the knowledge to have a worthwhile discussion of their topic. Unfortunate, because they are otherwise entertaining and talented guys, but they seem in way over their heads when it comes to true crime or conspiracy genres
