  • Slick, smart and surprisingly entertaining

I only listen to a handful of podcasts, and the fact Mark is a professional journalist as the host really makes a difference to the pace and insights gleaned from his guests compared to other shows. I don't have time for soft-ball, unresearched questions and meandering conversations, so I love that The CMO Show always has high-calibre, smart guests and there seems to be a sense of purpose and pace in every show. I usually get the double whammy of an eyebrow raise ("hmm, that's interesting") and... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Snags, Red Shirts & Culture: Unpacking the Bunnings effect
Q: How do you maintain local relevance while protecting national brand equity?
By using the Red Shirt Content Creators program to surface local insights, and by gating posts through official AU/NZ accounts to preserve brand consistency across channels.
Snags, Red Shirts & Culture: Unpacking the Bunnings effect
Q: Tell me about the Bunnings story and what underpins nine consecutive quarters as the most trusted brand.
Trust comes from the team on the floor who greet customers and deliver a consistent experience across store, TV, email, and social channels, ensuring authentic, voice-consistent interactions at every touchpoint.
How to stay sane in the AI chaos with Cameron Partridge
Q: What is the big takeaway Cameron has from his two transitions—from Aussie brands to New York tech and back to Australia with Humanforce?
He emphasizes that marketers cannot chase every new AI trend; instead, they should focus on fundamentals, build adaptable brand narratives, and stay focused on quality and thinking, rather than trying to keep up with every new tool.
The Lamb Ad: Unpacking Australia's most anticipated ad of the year
Q: How hard is it to hold to the big creative idea under commercial pressure?
There is always pressure to shift toward a product story, but the team relies on a fixed narrative about unity and cultural affinity; the organization supports risk and views the big idea as essential to long-term brand health, with measurement focused on demand and cultural connection rather than sales alone.
How Intrepid Travel navigates the disruption-reinvention cycle
Q: How can you attribute your growth to being a B Corp?
While most customers choose our product based on experience rather than ethical aspects, being a B Corp serves as an external assurance that we practice what we preach.
