Chevy Chase, Demi Moore, John Candy, and Dan Aykroyd walk into a nightmare—literally—in Nothing But Trouble (1991), Aykroyd’s one and only directorial effort. Chris, Mark, and Mike dig into this gonzo horror-comedy oddity that blends Texas Chain Saw ... more
Potentially the most popular of all of Chevy Chase's films, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation has become a perennial family favorite despite the Griswolds not actually going on vacation but their extended family visiting them in the suburbs of Ch... more

We finally brave the cinematic sand trap that is Caddyshack II (1988), a baffling sequel that ditches the scrappy charm of the original for a mess of slapstick, snooty social satire, and one-liners that land with all the grace of a thrown brick. Mark... more

The Chasing Chevy podcast is a blast. I’m loving this deep dive into Chevy Chase’s entire filmography — the good, the bad, and the ugly. It’s fun to hear three different perspectives on these films, especially when I compare them to the Chevy movies I grew up with and discover new takes on the ones I missed. The show is hosted by the REAL Three Amigos: Mike White, Mark Begley, and Chris Stachiw, known from The Projection Booth, Wake Up Heavy, and The Kulturecast. They bring just the right mix of... more
You can’t go wrong with these hosts, even when (as they readily admit) some of the movies discussed aren’t exactly classics. It’s a fun exercise, much like “George Kennedy is My Co-Pilot” where you just take on an actor’s entire filmography. Chris, Mark and Mike are thoughtful and prepared, and they manage to create an interesting conversation whether it’s a classic like Fletch or a dud like European Vacation.
Chasing Chevy is much tighter as a title. But Chevy Chase is probably yields more search results. Gotta get them clicks. As someone who has sat through most of Chevy’s filmography, they earn most of their stars simply watching the movies. Chevy was only in a handful or so of good films. Most of the time, neither he nor the material are really up to snuff. The hosts recognize that. However, they tend to repeat their points quite a bit. That time would be better spent providing more background inf... more
Listening to this podcast is like sitting in traffic with three dorks a.k.a “whine-cast trifecta” over which gas station has the best coffee — tedious, directionless, and somehow still boring and annoying. Listening to three nerds that still probably live at home with their mother go on and on about Chevy Chase movies.
This podcast needs to be canceled like Chevy Chase’s talk show back in the day .
