Robotic, uninteresting, uninspiring podcast from a person who sounds honestly like they’re just going through the motions at this point. I’m sure it’s just his personality, and maybe I’m just a bitter sod, but I feel like he could be a lot more spirited than he is. Also, really, really don’t need him to read me the box score for every game. Like it just isn’t necessary. I can and do look at the box scores myself like every other fan listening to this or any other blazers pod.
Casey does a great job of giving updates of what’s going on with the team. Really like hearing his insights. He’s also super approachable when you see him at games, etc.
Casey does a great job getting the interviewee to seem relaxed and thoughtful. Enjoy the format, and almost soothing style. I am a late arrival and looking forward to going back and hearing some of his early takes.
Casey has great insight into the team and gives us all the details in a very organized, efficient matter.
My gripes are:
1) it seems a little robotic. Instead of just giving us ALL of the details, I wish Casey would share more of his own opinion sometimes, don’t just give us the deets but I want to know what you think about them
2) If we are listening to this podcast, we’re probably huge blazer fans and I’d guess half if not more have already listened to the clips of players, coach, GM talking... more
Love the briefcase, it’s very informational about the blazers and up to date blazers inside information in news and interviews, from one of the best trailblazers reporter in the game today. I thoroughly enjoy listening to Casey Holdahl. Keep up the great work.

This show consistently provides in-depth, game-by-game analysis of the Portland Trail Blazers, blending tactical breakdown with insider context on roster moves, ownership developments, and the evolving team narrative. Episodes frequently thread together on-court performance with off-ccourt factors like draft plans, offseason direction, and sponsorships, often featuring player spotlights and historical perspectives that add depth to current events. A notable strength is the mix of rigorous data-driven insights with accessible commentary, plus regular sponsor mentions that frame content within the team's local ecosystem. The format remains focused on timely, strategic storytelling for serious basketball fans, while also offering occasional gu... more
