  • I feel like I know this lot now

I’ve been listening to this analysis, banter, insight and conversation for years.

Dave takes it all to heart but it seems like he’s not letting it affect his mental health these days. Rob can ramble on for hours without repeating a word and it’s lovely to have his trans Atlantic view. Matt is an excellent host with good gentle steerimy and questions even if he does sound a bit fed up sometimes. Paddy knows the inside stuff and it’s great to get some details from the press angle even if he can’... more

  • Still the best Everton podcast

I’ve been listening to the lads at The Blue Room for years now. They’re consistently there with thoughtful, passionate takes on whatever’s happening when it comes to the highs and lows of supporting this infuriating club.

Matt and Paddy are especially welcome on a Tuesday - often once the dust has settled - with their forensic analysis of where things went right - or more often than not, wrong.

Keep doing what you’re doing boys. And thanks for the company and help when it comes to deconstructi... more

  • Dreadful people

First ones to call out fans from other clubs with regard to poverty / tragedy chanting.

Then, they all sit around giggling calling one of their own players a refugee.

What a horrible group of people you are.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Gabbing About Good Times: Kevin & Liam v Andy Burnham (revisited)
Q: What has been the most memorable FA Cup moment for Everton in the post-1995 era?
The hosts point to a famous semi-final or final moment that encapsulated Everton's potential and joy, contrasting it with tougher periods, and highlight players and performances that defined the era.
Could Everton really go another summer without a new right-back?
Q: Obviously, really interested to hear what you think about it. But when you say limited pool, and I'll offer this one to you, Patric
Patric responds by outlining his view that there are plenty of right backs available, but Everton cannot afford delays or to settle for subpar options; he emphasizes the need for a high-caliber signing sooner rather than later to avoid compromising the team.
Gabbing About Good Times: Liam v Ian Mills
Q: What were your memories of the 5-0 win day against West Ham and how did it shape the season?
The 5-0 win was a beacon of positivity in a season of instability, providing a rare moment of relief and a glimpse of what could be possible with new leadership and squad depth.
World Cup Time Machine - Episode One
Q: Tell us which other game you picked and why.
We talked through England vs Cameroon in 1990, highlighting the spy-gate storyline, the crowd dynamics, and Gazza's evolving legend as a player who defined that World Cup for many fans.
World Cup Time Machine - Episode One
Q: Tell us about this final game and why you chose it.
We discussed the 1986 final because it was Argentina-West Germany, a dramatic showcase of skill, drama, and tactical surprises, with Maradona in the broader context of Italia 90 and England's memory of the era.
