Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The Ůreth Interview
Q: How did fingerboarding become a direct correlation to your wheels and brand?
Fingerboarding became a natural extension after I immersed in the local Arizona scene; it filled the void when skating injuries reduced real-life skating, and the process of creating wheels became a way to reconnect with that passion and craft.
The Dungeon Crawl (@Mannygfb) Interview P2
Q: How do you keep Dungeon Crawl feeling unique and not just like every other brand?
He attributes brand differentiation to a consistent medieval fantasy theme, deliberate graphic direction, and a willingness to lean into a signature aesthetic even when tempted to branch out.
The Dungeon Crawl (@Mannygfb) Interview P2
Q: What's been the biggest change for you in the last year?
Manny highlights a shift in brand focus, personal health improvements, and a move toward deeper product quality and storytelling, with a strong emphasis on keeping the brand authentic and meaningful.
The Pipsqueak Wheels Interview
Q: How do you approach collaborations and growing the team for Pipsqueak?
Collaboration and relationships are key; after an informal period, he pared down the team to manage growth and priorities, emphasizing selective sponsorships and partnerships with trusted brands.
The Pipsqueak Wheels Interview
Q: What was the biggest challenge in building the brand and keeping it affordable?
Balancing quality with affordability by using simpler, hand-finished processes, avoiding expensive equipment, and iterating through feedback from friends and events to keep prices around a practical range.
