  • Appreciate y’all! Great bulls pod!

Fred’s “all vibes” yin to Doug’s analytical yang is a great balance. Exactly what I miss when I can’t chat Bulls with my friends - banter, genuine arguments, intelligent analysis, humility, and humor all from folks who actually watch the games and follow the team.

I’m a Bulls lifer; grew up in the golden years, attended many a game at the UC during the post-apocalyptic 1998-2001 seasons, watched the baby bulls grow up and morph into the Rose years, but the Butler trade just broke me and I sto... more

  • Best Chicago Bulls Podcast of the Bunch

Wish the episodes were more regular (3 a week or something) because I enjoy the voices on this pod so much. The material they cover is interesting and always related to what I want to listen to, the Chicago Bulls. There’s no annoying yelling or empty jokes. Just pure good content.

  • Great

Fred is crazy, Doug is sane. When they get together hijinks ensue. The podcast is about automobile design, but occasionally touches on the Chicago Bulls. Admittedly it seems like strange bedfellows, but I think that’s an overall theme. It is highly recommend.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The Big Red Bus - Episode 218 - Giddey Up 100 Million
Q: Are you happy to see that this front office progressed and got aggressive in the negotiation?
I'm glad they didn't cave in on a player option, which seemed like it was going to be a legitimate possibility.
The Big Red Bus - Episode 217 - Bear and Bull Markets
Q: What do you think the Bulls will achieve this season?
I think the Bulls have at least a 25 percent chance to outperform teams like the Atlanta Hawks and could finish with a better record than last year.
The Big Red Bus - Episode 217 - Bear and Bull Markets
Q: What's your favorite game that you've ever been to in the United Center?
Game one of the 2004-05 playoffs where they were chanting Nocione at the end of the game stands out as my favorite.
The Big Red Bus - Episode 208 - Interview with Betsey Cashmoney
Q: What are your thoughts on Billy Donovan?
He's not the biggest problem for the Bulls' issues; the team has more significant concerns. His coaching has kept them out of being among the worst teams defensively.
The Big Red Bus - Episode 208 - Interview with Betsey Cashmoney
Q: What do you think of the direction that the Bulls are going in?
Not much positivity, as they have been depressing for a while now due to the team's performance.
