I don’t know how I haven’t found this podcast sooner, but I’m so glad that I have! It was recommended to me from an email from Witchfest. I’ve been listening to witchy podcasts for over 5 years now. I can confidently say I’ve listened or sampled nearly all of them…and Swailes is one of my very favorites! I love her funny, almost self-deprecating humor, mixed with well researched topics and unique takes on many subjects that can get repetitive. Her ghost stories, her perspective and her down to earth podcasting style are refreshing and fun! Thx Swailes for making witchy living bright and bubbly🌺

A warm, northern‑flavored show that blends witchcraft, folklore, and spiritual practice with practical tips and personal storytelling. Episodes cover hands‑on healing demos, festive and seasonal rituals, folklore readings, and interviews with practitioners, authors, and festival organizers. The format alternates between solitary explorations and hosted conversations with guests who bring expertise in healing arts, crystals, shamanic practices, and witchcraft history, often tying ideas to everyday life and community experiences. Notable strengths include a welcoming vibe, strong sense of place in Yorkshire, and a mission to demystify witchcraft while keeping things accessible and playful for both newcomers and seasoned practitioners.
