  • Great content, mediocre audio

I love this Podcast. It really helps me think about how to be a better CS practitioner and leader. My one wish is that the host would either put on a headset or move to a room with carpet. His portion of the audio is very echoey and sort to of distracting.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

126. Live from the 2026 TSIA Board Summit: Executive Leaders Debate the Future of Services
Q: How well connected are sales and post teams around value-based pricing?
Panelists discuss that value-based pricing is still a journey; some companies have standardized catalogs of outcomes to align language, but the bridge between sales and post-sales teams remains a work in progress.
123. How to Beat Bigger Competitors (Without Bigger Teams)
Q: You're going to large company incumbents; what is the catalyst for them to displace an incumbent and switch to Nitro?
The catalysts are tangible value and economics: lower risk in adoption, better partnership with a smaller vendor, and clear evidence of improved outcomes. Nitro emphasizes transparency about usage and outcomes, which helps overcome the opacity some incumbents have, and strong security to alleviate risk concerns.
122. Staying Strategic in an AI-Driven Marketing World
Q: What does it mean to be in marketing today in the context of AI?
Marketing must move beyond content production to strategic framing, narrative, and revenue-focused decisions; AI can handle operational tasks, but core value lies in defining strategy, market definition, and differentiated positioning.
121. Moving Beyond AI Experiments to Real Business Value
Q: Tell us a little about Substorm and what inspired Sofi Elfving Hallberg to start the company.
Sofi explains she wanted to help industry leverage AI in a practical, scalable way after years in Ericsson and academia; she co-founded Substorm with a partner to transform how manufacturing and process industries use data and AI, focusing on tangible value rather than hype.
120. AI vs. Renewal vs. Churn: Who Wins in 2026?
Q: What is the first AI case you're going to deploy in the next 60 days if you haven't done it?
This is where the game is going when it comes to Revenue.
