The women in revolt podcast is one of the very few that gripped me from start to finish- I wish it had been longer. It compliments the show at the Tate so well and I feel like I got to get even deeper after having listened to this. Could not recommend highly enough.
Deeply powerful and inspiring to hear such an important period of history in art and activism recalled and explained by the protagonists themselves.
Tate’s ‘Women in Revolt!’ podcast series isn’t only for people drawn to contemporary art. If you’re interested in 1970s/80s/90s British society and politics, this is a crucial story that hasn’t been told until now.
Vivid, provoking, moving. And so relevant to hear now.
Essential listening- excellently conceived and delivered.
The first time I listened to this, I immediately felt the sensation I love when I meditate. It’s best listened to in a comfortable environment and with a clear purpose — to breathe in the beauty of art.
Tate consistently produces rich content to fuel an artist’s creative pursuits, and this is no exception! I think of this as a jumping off point!
