  • Hilarious Commentary (Update: No Longer So Funny)

I was going to wait until I caught up on the episodes before writing a review, but I wanted to praise 31. The Seeker Knight in particular. The Dungeons And Dragons role-play description for a battle scene from the tale and the Heavy Metal Magazine cover references for the visuals were hilarious. I love the non-stop commentary used to tell the stories, and that episode was such a great example of this form of story-telling.

  • Love the presenter’s style

… and my favorite quote of the day, from Tamlin, is “Lord Janet’s Dad.”

Reminds me of a kid in my neighborhood, going to tattle on me, shouting, “Mrs Tommy’s Mom! Mrs Tommy’s Mom!”

  • Highly Recommended great podcast

The presentation is riveting, the stories fascinating, and the included historical background and scholarship illuminate the magical nature of the old tales. Host Graham is brilliant, with an understated sense of humour and a great affinity for the subject material.

Tip: Try listening to English, Irish, Welsh and Scottish narrators at .75 speed, which enhances the listening experience even more. The language remains absolutely clear.

  • Boggarts

Great show. I grew up in Ozark region of the USA. The show on boggarts is exactly what my grandparents warned the grandkids about in the 1960’s as a way to keep them close to home and out of the local woods
