  • Great, except for one thing

I enjoy this podcast as it helps bring in some different views from knowledgeable English speaking individuals with unique views. However, as mentioned by some other reviewers, I also believe Angelica Ong does not contribute meaningfully to discussions and is often under- or mis-informed.

On one of the latest episodes she was drawing an analogy to how China’s military might dwarfs Taiwan’s, making Taiwan’s military strength a moot point, just like how “Russia is pummeling Ukraine”. However, she... more

I’m very disappointed with ICRT Taiwan News. I used to listen to their broadcasts when I was little, but now it has become a political media outlet! It’s extremely biased and clearly leans toward the DPP. Their news reports are completely lacking in neutrality. The headline might seem like it’s about the KMT’s party chair election analysis.., but the guest speakers—who knows who they even are—just spend the whole time brainwashing the audience about how terrible the KMT and TPP are.

  • Biased commentary

The discussion on this show became a lot more predictable and less interesting with the addition of Angelica, whose views are consistently partisan. She should be introduced as an advocate, not a journalist.

  • Angelica Ong is not qualified

Angelica Ong's recent commentary reveals a lack of fundamental understanding of 圖利罪 (the offense of unlawful benefit), and her remarks on military drills came across as unserious and poorly informed. Her analysis was superficial and failed to accurately reflect the legal and institutional frameworks involved, particularly in relation to the military and judicial systems. I do not believe she is professionally qualified to comment on such matters, as her oversimplifications risk spreading misinfo... more

  • Good podcast except the invited speaker

The speaker of the podcast this week is super biased and impolite. She is not a good candidate to talk about Taiwan news.
