  • One Jamsters long overdue review

Im writing this after listening to the 4th 2026 Summer League game pod. It’s crazy that it’s taken this long to write a review but also feels very fitting to do it after such a random pod because I truly listen to every episode so it feels a bit poetic.

I've been a Suns fan since the Steve Nash, Shawn Marion, and Amar'e Stoudemire days. Like a lot of fans, I experienced the joy of those playoff runs and the heartbreak of watching those teams come up just short. Eventually life got busy and I d... more

  • Always a good time

As a middle aged mom of three, I’m probably not the target demographic for the show, but I don’t miss an episode. Perfect combo of solid basketball insights with dumb funny schtick. Definitely the most fun and creative Phoenix Suns podcast out there. Matthew can lay off of Booker a bit though ;)

  • Please no guac

I get that this podcast is a bit quirky but I will stop listening if he keeps calling Jalen Green “Guacamole”. Horrible nickname. No one says holy guacamole. No one says it while watching basketball.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Summer Suns Keep Rolling
Q: What stood out most about the Suns' approach in this Summer League game?
The emphasis on keeping a consistent core of young players for repetitions and cohesion, while not shying away from giving big-minute opportunities to Maluach, Peat, and Fleming, appeared to be the key driver of improved performance and development.
Book or Brunson?
Q: What are the X Factor players in this series for the Knicks and Spurs?
Bridges and Hart for the Knicks, Harper for the Spurs, with Bridges' shooting and Hart's off-ball impact being pivotal; Harper's athleticism and bench scoring add a dynamic edge for San Antonio.
Game 4: Endgame
Q: How did you feel about this game and the season as a whole?
Most panelists expressed a mix of disappointment and pride, acknowledging both the overachievement compared to expectations and the sense that the team lacked balance and execution down the stretch, particularly in Booker's handling of double teams and the reliance on one primary scorer. They generally viewed the season as a learning platform with a hopeful but uncertain path ahead, contingent on offseason moves and roster balancing.
Topic Thunder JAM Session
Q: What were your expectations for the Suns heading into the season?
The guest expected the Suns to avoid lottery status, projected around 35 wins, with concerns about offense; the team ended up exceeding expectations with a competitive playoff push.
Nobody Answered vs. Portland
Q: Are you disappointed in some of the performances that we witnessed tonight, despite all the injuries being out?
Matthew is disappointed in Ryan Dunn's performance and the decision not to play Williams in the fourth quarter but acknowledges the effort of other players given the circumstances.
