Each week, a group of storytellers gathers around a campfire. There's world-weary club MC Edgar Allan Poe, nerd dad Stephen King, violent goth Mary Shelley, squid-obsessed wimp HP Lovecraft, and others. A comedy-horror semi-anthology adapted from Bitter Karella's Hugo-nominated microfiction.

A midnight fire pit brings together authors modern and classic to retell their famous horror stories in a subversive comedic style amongst their likewise subversive peers.
“Submitted for the Approval of the Midnight Pals” has a cast and sound effects reminiscent of classic Hanna-Barbera cartoons, but definitely the type of humor and self-awareness suitable for Adult Swim programs.

Great performances, lots of fun. You don’t need to be super online to get the humor. Despite the name it feels a little more like Muppet Babies/Wishbone for adults. Obscurer references are dotted in like Easter eggs but feel delightful, not alienating. More please!
As a huge Horror fan I absolutely love seeing these takes on some of the biggest names from my childhood intro to the genre. This show really is the most respectful piece of fan service for an 80s-90s kid out there. Grab some snacks, get spooked, have a laugh, and feel like a kid again. Butterfinger BBs and Surge sadly not included.
