Happened across this pod while looking for good spooky true crime……love everything about it, the narrator, the music, the stories, the overall spooky vibe! I love true crime but a lot of podcasts have been rehashing the same stories…most of the stories on here are new to me so it makes it that much better! Please keep up the good work from ur garage in Tasmania!!❤️🙌
So glad to discover a quality Aussie podcast. We need more Australian stories out there. Very much enjoyed the Humptydoo ep. Hooking into more now. Thanks Mark and team!
It’s so nice to be able to hear some Australian content around local mysteries and unsolved crime.
Its really appreciated the way in which content is presented that respects victims and their families. The content warnings are also greatly appreciated as I often like to listen with my kids and we can easily skip ones that are a bit much for them.
I came across Strewth by accident. I’m so glad I did. The narration keeps you in the edge of your seat and I find myself googling the stories to see pictures and locations of the stories! Keen for more!
Carefully researched content and a narrator who genuinely cares about what he presents and how it’s presented.
I love the soothing narration style coupled with the sometimes creepy, often disturbing content, it’s a nice juxtaposition.
I like to think of this podcast as bedtime stories for grown-ups.
Please keep them coming!

Episodes span Indigenous folklore, cold cases, maritime intrigues, and paranormal or unexplained events, often weighing evidence, testimonies, and archival material against rational explanations. The host crafts intimate, cinema-like storytelling that respects victims and families while inviting listeners to think critically about each case. The show tends to mix well-known mysteries with lesser-known Australian tales, delivering a strong sense of place and cultural context that keeps audiences coming back for more weekly installments. A standout trait is its steady emphasis on narrative craft, transparency about uncertainties, and a wil... more
