It’s so nice to be able to hear some Australian content around local mysteries and unsolved crime.
Its really appreciated the way in which content is presented that respects victims and their families. The content warnings are also greatly appreciated as I often like to listen with my kids and we can easily skip ones that are a bit much for them.
I came across Strewth by accident. I’m so glad I did. The narration keeps you in the edge of your seat and I find myself googling the stories to see pictures and locations of the stories! Keen for more!
Carefully researched content and a narrator who genuinely cares about what he presents and how it’s presented.
I love the soothing narration style coupled with the sometimes creepy, often disturbing content, it’s a nice juxtaposition.
I like to think of this podcast as bedtime stories for grown-ups.
Please keep them coming!
The vocal tone, the pace of speech, the music, the script. These hold the podcast together and compel listening.
Just listened to the Hawkesbury River monster episode. It was good that after taking us through the mystery the presenter raised the most likely explanation. Informed speculation and deduction. These stop the podcast being some sensationalist production intended to scare.
Looking forward to more. Thanks for creating the podcast.
I came across this podcast relatively recently.., being a fan of Danny Robins UK Uncanny.., I’m so delighted to have found this.
I listen as I work away in my studio in a rather chilly Ayrshire, Scotland.
The tales are wonderfully well researched without unnecessary fluff.., but the voice! The voice is wonderfully atmospheric. Possibly my favourite all time narrator. I even slow the podcast down a wee bit to prolong the story and add even more spookiness.
Can’t recommend enough!
Many thanks ... more
