  • A nice change from the norm

A really fun and informal set of conversations. There are plenty of podcasts out there that feel like the classic 'chat show' interview transferred to the medium, but Rob's stuff is a different take and really enjoybale for it. Of course it may leave you wanting to know more, and when you don't 'know' the guest you may feel that you're missing out - but then you can always go and investigate. When you do 'know' the guest, then there are often great bits in there that feel that bit more personal ... more

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode 329 - Bob Lindenmayer
Q: What was the hardest part about getting people to participate in the documentary?
Tracking down crew and cast from Megaforce took years, and convincing them to participate required persistence, but once Barry Bostwick and others joined, the project gained momentum and a sense of trust.
Episode 329 - Bob Lindenmayer
Q: How did your collaboration with your editor influence the direction of the film?
My editor Felix pushed me to shift focus from a straight making-of to a more personal narrative, making the story about Bob and his relationship with the film, which added authenticity and emotional resonance.
Episode 329 - Bob Lindenmayer
Q: What sparked you to make a Megaforce documentary in the first place?
I wanted to celebrate something I deeply loved from my childhood and use it as a lens to tell a broader story about memory, aspiration, and the act of owning and sharing what matters to you, even if others don't know it.
Episode 323 - Brande Roderick
Q: Did Brande ever reflect on how producing and directing WinEVILle shifted her perspective on earlier projects like Baywatch or Starsky & Hutch?
Yes, it gave me empathy for the entire production pipeline, making me recognize the many moving parts and decision points that influence scheduling and creative choices, which deepened my respect for earlier productions.
Episode 323 - Brande Roderick
Q: What was the big thing for you—did seeing horrors in childhood or going to the cinema hold a special magic compared to the video store memories?
Both held magic, but the video store memories—picking VHS covers, weekend marathons with family—were foundational; I did see some horror theatrically, but the VHS era defined my early love for the genre.
