  • 5 de Mayo

To make it clear, the May 5th battle was not a small win. The French army was the most powerful at that time, so it was a huge victory at the moment, even if we, the Mexicans, eventually lost the war. Keep the good work, though!

  • Amazing discussions

Needs better sound quality, and perhaps a little more volume. However, I have still managed to learn a whole lot both from guests and from the host

  • Good show, lots of small talk.

Insightful but indirect. Podcast can be cut in half if small was removed. Have to fast forward a lot to get to the point.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

#277: Lululemon, the Market’s Most Undervalued Stock?
Q: If your fictitious nephew handed you their savings $100 and said, Uncle Mike, I think I want you to buy me Lululemon or whatever you prefer, would you buy Lululemon for this nephew?
No, I am concerned about the Under Armour comparisons.
#276: Is Tesla’s Stock Still a Buy?
Q: Would you buy a hundred dollars worth of Tesla for your nephew or would you invest it elsewhere?
I would put it elsewhere.
#270 How to Build Real Wealth (w/ Clem Chambers)
Q: So you describe yourself as a contrarian when it comes to investing. Are you involved in the most recent rally? Where is your kind of investing sentiment right now?
I got out before the market crashed and rotated into defense stocks and precious metals, making half of what I could have made, but minimizing risk. My focus now is on high dividend paying contrarian value stocks.
#267: Intro to Whiskey Investing (w/ Anthony Sheehy of Irish Whiskey Auctions)
Q: What would you tell someone with five grand to invest in whiskey?
It depends on their investment horizon; if they can forget the funds for a long period, they might invest in one high-value bottle, but if they need flexibility, they could buy several bottles at lower prices.
#267: Intro to Whiskey Investing (w/ Anthony Sheehy of Irish Whiskey Auctions)
Q: What's the biggest trap in buying new whiskey?
The biggest trap is falling for outrageous promises of returns from whiskey investment schemes without doing proper due diligence.
