'Who are you? Why are you here?' Something strange is going on in Spire. Following the death of one of the city’s most important figures, it's clear that change is in the air. But when two inhabitants of the city, Malachi and Cosima, find themselves curiously swapping places back and forth, they begin to realise just how insidious Spire truly is. And exactly how deep down the rabbit hole goes.

Stick with it. Because Malachi is sooo Malachi, it’s a little hazy in the beginning of the first episode where it’s going to land. There’s definitely a point slightly further in where you can fall into this world that’s very similar to our own (as long as you don’t stare at the edges too much). The listener gets to follow the characters around as they tiptoe past trouble and try to uncover secrets. The music is beautifully spooky and folksy.
Eventually, a scooby gang forms and the relationships... more
But holy kitty cats is it close! Really excellent sound design/quality. Love the atmosphere. The characters are unique and great, I don’t think there was a single character I really thought was poorly written. The plot was cool, real different and the theme song is real fun. Definitely recommend listening to this show. The only gripe I had is kinda my fault maybe but I often had trouble keeping track of which character was which with characters switching bodies and all the characters either havi... more
Spire is genuinely one of the best podcasts I’ve ever listened to. The voice acting? Sensational! The plot twists? Incredible!! The MUSIC?? Phenomenal!!! I’m so excited for the next season, I cannot wait to see where the story goes next!
This is a podcast I looked for, even though I didn't know it exists.
Malachi wakes up in someone else's body, in a unfamiliar environment. At the same time, Cosima wakes up in his body and deals with it way better than him. There are complicated familial (and other) relationships - how much of ourselves should we give up for the people we owe? What do Malachi and Cosima have in common? What are their parents/employers playing at? The whole city is a huge spire, as the name suggests, and Malachi ... more
I’m frankly baffled this podcast isn’t more popular. Intriguing right off the bat, with fantastic music, immersive soundscaping, engaging plot, and lovable characters. I loved it immediately! Eagerly looking forward to the next season!
