  • Details?

I do like the content of this show!! But the host is a bit off—her voice? And mis-pronouncing Goethe over and over—she added an r— Gerta? Distracting.

  • My favorite Jungian Podcast

Love to listen it while hiking. I’m not sure though if you have a full picture about UFO’s though, it’s a very complex issue full of „???”, but dismissing it as purely psychological phenomenon related to trauma sounds wrong since it’s so wide spread and kind of consistent, though changing through time at the same time. On one hand it could be some defence mechanism of the collective psyche /planet. On the other there are credible ppl coming out and military people are seeing these objects consta... more

  • We can't see what you are holding up!

I certainly enjoy the content but found it very distracting that the host would show a book (to a YouTube audience?) but not tell the podcast audience what it is.

  • Could use some work

The interviewer listed the title of all 20 of Hollis’ books in the intro? She literally read them all. Bizarre behavior from a seasoned podcaster. Why not just say his works are linked in the show notes? Just an automatic turn off.

  • Episode 137 is an Infomercial w/o substance

After 10 minutes of an overly lengthy resume of vague skills and offerings and more info on remote applications that services are provided there wasn’t anything memorable that I would want to tell anyone.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode 158: Morgan Stebbins
Q: Why focus on transformation rather than symptom reduction?
Because the goal is to align with one's true self; by understanding the unconscious dynamics and engaging with the symbolic meaning, the person can experience lasting change that naturally diminishes symptoms.
Episode 158: Morgan Stebbins
Q: What are the four phases and how do they work in practice?
They are not rigid steps but phases that guide the process: noticing to become aware of what's happening, measuring to detail the image's attributes, translating to interpret the inner meanings, and acting by bringing insights into real-life change.
Episode 157: Love and Narcissism
Q: How does the relationship between the ego and the self differ from the merger of ego with self in the Narcissus myth?
The ego-self merger is dysfunctional when it inflates the sense of self, whereas a healthy relationship with the self involves distinguishing boundaries, recognizing limits, and allowing genuine relating with others, which is essential for love.
Episode 157: Love and Narcissism
Q: Let's begin with why you wrote this book and what prompted you to cover narcissism from a Jungian perspective.
Because Jung did not explicitly address narcissism in depth, there was a need to explore how narcissistic dynamics manifest across cultures and relationships through Jungian concepts like the ego, shadow, and and the interplay of masculine and feminine energies, highlighting how individuals can develop healthier relationships through analysis.
Episode 156: Gita Dorothy Morena
Q: Can you talk about the differences between Baum's original book and the 1939 film, and why those differences matter psychologically?
The hosts and Morena discuss how the book presents Oz as a real inner world with archetypal energy, while the film adapts that energy for 1939 audiences; the differences highlight the depth and symbolism of internal growth versus filmic simplification.
