今年は戦後80年。
戦争を体験した方に当時の話を聞くのが難しくなったことに加え、それを受け継いできた語り部も減少しています。
知覧や鹿屋以外にも鹿児島県内には特攻拠点がいくつもありますが、私たちが知らない事実が多くあります。
この番組では、地元の10代の若者が聞き手となって、語り部からストーリーを聞くとともに、特攻、そして戦争について考えます。

鹿児島県在住の10代のシンガーソングライター。中学1年生の頃からギターを始め、弾き語りを中心に活動。MBCテレビ「NEWS NOW」のED曲「タイムリミット」を高校生の時に手掛けるなど、オリジナル曲をYouTubeやSNSで公開。

MBCラジオでは8月1日から14日まで、「#そして語り継ぐ～特攻の記憶～ 」を
お送りしてきました。
近年、戦争を実際に経験した方に当時の話を聞くのが難しくなったことに加え、
それを受け継いだ語り部も減少しています。
各市町村出身の10代の若者が聞き手となり、
語り部からストーリーを受け継ぎ、特攻、そして戦争そのものを振り返り、
考えるきっかけとなることを願いながら放送してきました。
これまで放送してきた10回の放送を、総集編としてまとめてお送りします。
今回は、番組ナビゲーターの椿井紗代さんが、20代から語り部活動を行っている肝付友美さんにお話を聞きました。

大隅半島の中央部に位置する鹿屋市。
太平洋戦争時、鹿屋市には3つの飛行場が存在し、
日本で最も多くの特攻隊が出撃した歴史があります。
鹿屋海軍航空基地からは908人、串良海軍航空基地からは363人の
特攻隊員が出撃し、尊い命を失いました。
兄の徳永幸雄さんが特攻隊員だったという、89歳の稲村ツヤ子さん。
お兄さんはなぜ特攻隊員になったのか？

鹿児島県本土の中央部にある霧島市。
太平洋戦争時、現在の陸上自衛隊国分駐屯地周辺には第一国分基地が、
現在の鹿児島空港一帯には十三塚原飛行場とも呼ばれた第二国分基地が置かれ、
427人が飛び立ち、尊い命が奪われました。
第二国分基地があった地元の方の話を受け継いできた内村さん、
そして、十三塚原記念館を建設された山元さんにお話を聞きました。
