Five stars across the board from the story line to the acting to the writing to the editing and on and on oh the music, spacing I mean come on! Don’t like spoiler reviews so I’ll leave it at this; MUST LISTEN SO REFRESHING AND NECESSARY
Okay so I really expected this to be a thriller or something. When the podcast didn't start out the way I thought it would be, I was surprised. But the title makes a LOT of sense now that I've finished listening to the story.
I kind of wish there were some consequences for the aunt who is ... not great. But it's set in real life so I get why there aren't any.
Either way it is a very important and well developed story, very bittersweet and with a nice ending :)
I couldn’t help but listen to this entire podcast in two days - and then I went back to listen to it a second time. The word that comes to mind to describe it best is real. The characters are compelling because of their flaws, and the story illuminates how we, as people, truly react to “unpleasant” things in this world, particularly addiction. It was refreshing to listen to something that tackles these issues so honestly and yet so gracefully. Highly recommend to all podcast lovers!
this is such a strong, powerful story about a family death and the divides of family after tragedy. Rebecca Mlinek is a wonderful writer, and is really going places!!!
This podcast will hook you from beginning to end. Wonderful writing, acting, and editing work.
