I started listening after hearing an interview with Bill Meara on another podcast. I started going through the episodes until I got to the December 2020 one only to discover that there was a ham radio variant of Trump Derangement Syndrome, and that it had infected the hosts. more
This is one of my favorites. Bill and Pete have a nice style while discussing electronics. I’m a neophyte regarding electronics building, and I wish they would do a handful of “beginners” shows. It’s still quite a good podcast and I’m learning just by listening. more
unfortunately they do not seem welcoming to new hams or all that ham radio has to offer and I feel do more harm than good for the hobby as a hole. The often call digital modes the dark side “jokingly” but not really. And they often assume everyone is a super builder, if you did not build your rig from paper clips and scraps you have no right to call yourself a ham type of attitude.
