You are an amazing orator and such a delight to listen to. I have been a huge soap fan since I was a kid so these reviews take me back. You also point out things I missed out as it was so long ago. I’m so glad I found your podcast.
I love to hear your commentary but the background music, during your opening commentary is too loud. Can’t hear you at all.
…but I didn’t. I was a child in the 80s, so vaguely remember these shows but was too tong to watch or understand them. I have though, like the pod host, revisited the soaps of the 80s and enjoyed them - excellent storytelling, acting, drama, music, casting, the lot.
There’s sooo much fun to be had with these shows. However the hosts bland, expressionless, deadpan delivery ruins everything; although she proclaims delight in the soaps she’s watching, her tone actually suggests otherwise.
