  • It works! But no stress topics only please

It works. It puts me to sleep. And it’s hilarious in an understated, wonderful way. And also, somehow interesting but boring enough to make you fall asleep . I don’t know how it is all of these contradictory things, but it is. BUT please only stress free topics!!

  • So grateful this exists

Going through menopause during the LA fires: I had to skip town for about a week with a sick child. All the sleep I got last week was thanks to this podcast. If I had one note, it would be that not every topic discussed in a low tone is "relaxing." Several of the topics have been way too stressful for me: toxic load, food waste, traveling with an infant during Covid in 2020. Not for me.

  • Thank you!

I have a reflexive yawn when I hear the theme song to this show. It works so well. I usually fall asleep to a podcast, but when nothing else is working and my brain is all rilled up, this show is the only thing that puts me to sleep. I’m so thankful.

  • Playing over and over until I actually hear the whole interview

Each episode is a new favorite interview, the latest being the episode about Amy Tan feeding birds on a wildlife conservational grand scale. She’s so much like my mom, who I shared the episode with and got new stories after I managed to stay awake over lunch on the second play through. At night this podcast is guaranteed to put me to sleep by creating a safe space to kibitz someone else’s hobby. Their goal is usually not my goal but sometimes as with Amy Tan’s episode the hobby is something w... more
