An easy game. We take your favorite topics, mix them with your opponents’ favorite topics, sprinkle in the Host’s favorite topics, you just need to find your sweet spot while avoiding the Host’s bitter notes. Steal topics for defense, or locate them for offense, the choice is yours, but in the end, Chris and Irene promise the perfect SkilletBrew Trivia for everyone (or least themselves).

The relationship between Chris and Irene is half the fun of the show. It's great to hear how much this father and daughter truly appreciate each other's company! The trivia is well written for everyone's topics. A great combination of fun and smart.
I like the hosts and guests they have from the trivia community. The “name items on a list” format is interesting. December episodes and others have had volume issues in the intro (normal volume then incredibly loud on intro music). My only other complaint is sometimes it seems there are too many rules to the game so it’s hard to keep track.
This has quickly become one of my favorite shows.
The questions are always interesting, and you can tell that the hosts and the guests all genuinely like each other. It always makes me feel like I’m hanging out with friends. The format it’s fun, and I look forward to the show coming out every week.
Bonus points for all the category names. It must be fun coming up with those!
this is not a good podcast for serious trivia. this is a _great_ podcast for fun trivia. snarky banter, hilarious outtakes, and the occasional question and answer. and nothing can beat irene's giggles. (not that i know for sure, since she wasn't part of my episode. guess i need to sign up again.)
The trivia on this show is great, but so much of the appeal is the laid-back nature and charm of its hosts, Chris and Irene. It has the feel of hanging out with your friends, drinking a bit, and casually asking each other trivia questions. Except the contestants and hosts are generally more entertaining than my friends. Come to think of it, I really need a better set of friends. This show really drives that point home.

The show blends casual banter with trivia-based competition, often featuring a rotating cast of guests and a steady core of two hosts who bring humor, warmth, and approachable questions. Episodes balance topics from pop culture and games to nostalgia and personal anecdotes, with a flexible format that allows audiences to submit topics, draft lists, or call shots. A standout trait is the duo's father-daughter dynamic paired with a playful, self-deprecating vibe that invites participatory energy from contestants and listeners alike; guests routinely contribute energy, expertise, or story-driven moments, keeping format twists fresh and entertaining for a broad, trivia-loving crowd.
