SkilletBrew Trivia is a podcast built around trivia, competition, bad decisions, changing rules, and the kind of conversations that happen when Chris and Irene are left in charge of a game show.
At its core, though, the show has always been about people.
It is about bringing friends together, meeting other trivia fans, creating ridiculous games, and giving everyone a place where knowing something ... more

The relationship between Chris and Irene is half the fun of the show. It's great to hear how much this father and daughter truly appreciate each other's company! The trivia is well written for everyone's topics. A great combination of fun and smart.
I like the hosts and guests they have from the trivia community. The “name items on a list” format is interesting. December episodes and others have had volume issues in the intro (normal volume then incredibly loud on intro music). My only other complaint is sometimes it seems there are too many rules to the game so it’s hard to keep track.
This has quickly become one of my favorite shows.
The questions are always interesting, and you can tell that the hosts and the guests all genuinely like each other. It always makes me feel like I’m hanging out with friends. The format it’s fun, and I look forward to the show coming out every week.
Bonus points for all the category names. It must be fun coming up with those!
this is not a good podcast for serious trivia. this is a _great_ podcast for fun trivia. snarky banter, hilarious outtakes, and the occasional question and answer. and nothing can beat irene's giggles. (not that i know for sure, since she wasn't part of my episode. guess i need to sign up again.)
The trivia on this show is great, but so much of the appeal is the laid-back nature and charm of its hosts, Chris and Irene. It has the feel of hanging out with your friends, drinking a bit, and casually asking each other trivia questions. Except the contestants and hosts are generally more entertaining than my friends. Come to think of it, I really need a better set of friends. This show really drives that point home.

A lighthearted, banter-forward trivia show blending pop culture, film, books, and general knowledge with a rotating cast of contestants. The two hosts—one a dad and the other a daughter—guide improvisational list-building games, yes/no questioning, and friendly competition, often peppering topics with humor, running gags, and audience-friendly twists like power-ups and “brews.” Episodes frequently feature guests across entertainment, sports, and nerd culture, plus recurring family-friendly segments that emphasize camaraderie over hardcore scoring. The format stands out for its playful, collaborative approach to trivia, strong host chemistry, and a self-aware, joke-heavy vibe that keeps listeners engaged whether they're playing along or just... more
