Fun podcast to listen in! Gives a fun angle of a board game veteran and the view from a new enthusiast. Excellent audio quality and production. Only missing the final star because of the first 30 minutes of the show seems slightly directionless. But that is only a MINOR feedback point!
The episodes feel just like hanging out post-game recapping what happened, with a lot of funny asides. That’s usually the sign of a good night, and turns out it’s a sign of a good podcast too.
Chris and Casie have great dialogue and chemistry on the podcast. It’s helpful to heard both the opinion of a game expert as well as a person that just enjoys the games on a more causal level. That keeps it informative without getting too in the weeds to the point of being beyond my novice comprehension.
I don’t know much about games, but this is so fun to listen to! I’ve already learned so much and my board game shopping list has doubled in size
Now this is a boardgame podcast for everybody! I’m a fan of podcasts that are two people having a casual conversation about things they like, and Shuffle Buddies fits that really well.
