Whitney and Nicole’s podcast has been a Godsend. Soon after launching an Etsy Shop this spring, I found myself struggling to find my way through the early challenges. Badger searching for a podcast that focused on selling vintage items on Etsy, I found Shop Talk. I started from the first episode and am now all caught up. I have sold 13 items and have a vision and a goal! I am forever thankful.

Ep. 30: From Vintage Side Hustle to CEO with Wendy Batten
Q: What indicators show someone is ready to take their hobby to the next level?
Green flags include writing down clear goals, having a plan, and acknowledging the need to become the CEO, including willingness to invest in systems, numbers, and potentially a team for support.
Ep. 30: From Vintage Side Hustle to CEO with Wendy Batten
Q: What is the biggest mindset shift when turning a hobby into a business, and where do people get stuck the most often?
The shift is making an intentional decision to treat it as a business, not a hobby, and recognizing that you must plan, set boundaries, and operate with a CEO mindset rather than chasing every idea or whim.
