今回のテーマは、 『ナナカマド』。秋になると実が赤くなるナナカマド。
真っ赤に色づく葉とともに、秋を彩ります。さらに、真っ白な雪と赤い実のコントラストは、北海道の冬の風物詩と言えます。ナナカマドは、もともと北海道に自生する木で、街路樹としてもおなじみ。その美しさや親しみやすさから、道内30以上の市町村で、「まちの木」に指定されています。まさに、北海道を代表する木の一つ「ナナカマド」。今回も林野庁の林業試験場や北海道大学などで、長年、森林の研究をしてきた小池 孝良さんに、「ナナカマド」について伺... more
