灰蝶在翅膀後面長了細細的「尾突」和像眼睛的「眼斑」，這就像是牠的「第二張臉」。當牠停下來不停搖動翅膀時，肚子餓的小鳥或蜥蜴就會誤以為那邊是頭，結果只咬到一塊翅膀，讓灰蝶有機會趕快逃走！這種聰明的偽裝展現灰蝶為了活下去的生存智慧。雖然翅膀破了不能再長回來，但牠們依然會努力地在陽光下繼續飛翔！

水黽利用腳上覆蓋油脂的細毛與水的表面張力配合，使牠能穩定漂浮並在水面上快速滑行，而細長的腳也具備感應水面震動的功能，能精準捕捉落水獵物並以刺吸式口器進食。不同的昆蟲也有演化不同的特殊腳喔！像是捕食足、游泳足或跳躍足等。
