옛날 어느 마을에 가난한 부부가 살고 있었어요.
그 부부에게는 집도 없어서 돈을 주고 남의집 살이를 하고 있었습니다.
일년을 열심히 벌어도 집을 빌린 값을 치르고 나면 남는 것이 없어, 겨우겨우 입에 풀칠만 하며 살아가고 있었지요.
