Where is Ali??!???!!

Not the same without ali

I love the podcast. However it seems like each person (both hosts and guest) is so eager to make their point that they don’t always listen to each other. There is a lot of interrupting and not a lot of conversational turn taking. But I do love the content.

I don’t know the name of the speakers but one of them seems to talk way too much with most of it being just repetition. Had to skip the entirety of his speech.

The other dude though is much more concise and informed.

Edit: the annoying dude is Armin. He talks way too much and doesn’t even let the other dude finish. Just jams in while someone is talking.

One decent podcaster and the other is BIg cry baby.

Great podcast! Surprisingly very educational. It’s nice to learn about islam theology without religious bias. Of course the guests and ideas are great as well. My only tiny tiny criticism is that Ali and Armin tend to talk over each other, I understand why though

Love these guys

I’ve had to revise my 5-star review. Ali Rizvi had always been a foil to Armin Navabi’s superior knowledge and intellect. This has worked well with Islamic issues.

However, in the recent discussion about riots and protests, Rizvi’s intellectual deficiency has exposed itself as a liability. He literally condoned burning down public property. He needs to go... this needs to be Armin show.

I’m taking a break from this show. Maybe when I come back Rizvi won’t be here.

These two honest and incredibly knowledgeable guys are fascinating to listen to. They’ve quadrupled my understanding of the Middle East and of Islam, in the latter of a few episodes. Their interaction is also priceless - very entertaining and at time hilarious.

armin very clearly lacks respect for cultures that he does not understand. He easily writes of anything not part of his narrative and impedes ali from making any intelligent points.

Love the podcast! I especially love the episodes that talk about politics in the mena region. It’s been really interesting to get Armin’s (and everyone he’s talking to) point of view on Iran. Can’t wait for more! An episode on Morocco sounds great.

Armin & Ali are at their best when discussing Islam or interviewing ex-Muslims, but they could some serious fact-checking when delving into international affairs, particularly the on-going ethnic cleansing against indigenous Palestinians in Israel-Palestine. Ali, there are twenty-two “Arab states”, not “fifty” or “fifty-three”!. Some grounding in International Law would also help.
