A podcast for theatre lovers, where two friends and theatre directors delve into plays and talk text. Each week we read, discuss and dissect a new play script. We lust over punctuation choices, pull characters intentions apart, and generally try our darnedest not to pronounce anything incorrectly. Hosted by Lexie Ward & Meg Robinson.

Because I work in theatre, I usually do wherever I can to avoid theatre stuff when not ‘in work’!!! But a friend led me to this podcast and it’s really engaged me. There’s an energy about the discussion which makes it feel very immediate - a sense that the presenters are both hugely knowledgable about the plays but also rediscovering them as they go along. If you work in theatre, are a student, or just enjoy plays - make sure you give this series a listen.
This is a gem of a podcast for any theatre lover. Lexie and Meg have a brilliant friendship and delve into each plan with such an infectious passion. I’ve learnt about a lot of plays I’d never encountered before, so it’s both a great listen and educational to me as a theatre goer.
I’ve just finished catching up with both seasons of this podcast. Lexie and Meg are always entertaining as they give their experienced and insightful views on (mostly) new plays and the practicalities of staging them. They have great guests too. As someone who spends a lot of time stuck into older plays it’s a great way to discover, appreciate and keep up to date with new works for the theatre. Keep up the good work ladies.
Two amazingly talented female directors discuss the plays in such a way that you start to understand the text, even though you may not have read it.
These two women have such a love for theatre between them both, that it just shines though in this amazing podcast. Please listen, you’ll not regret it.
