I love the historical approach. Trey and his hosts are extremely knowledgable and deliver a great listenable podcast
Trey did a good job with these pod casts!
Hosting a solo cast, to me, is such a risk, as it's really hard to hold listeners' attention without the back and forth between co-hosts. Trey defies that notion by being both extremely knowledgeable and charismatic. Horror history buffs are invaluable to our community, but they still have to be able to provide that information to us, the listeners, in a direct and digestible manner to be successful in their mission. I don’t find that all solo casts are successful in that, but Screaming Through ... more
What a way to kickoff a podcast. Good ole Val Lewton. I love that Trey came out of the gates with something unique and is helping to keep the spirit of classic horror alive. Trey knows his stuff and you’re in good hands with this podcast. We’re looking forward to Trey joining us over a Reel Talk: A Movie Podcast in the near future.
Insightful exploration of important historical topics and personalities in the horror genre. The four-part discussion of Val Lewton takes a comprehensive look at Lewton’s genre works as well as biographical info. A much needed analysis of his films, as usually Cat People is the only one to receive attention. In addition, Trey does some on-off episodes that are also entertaining. Check out the show if you want a historically-oriented podcast about horror that goes beyond the obvious classics.
