  • Profound without being too solemn

    I really enjoy these discussions.

They tackle big subjects with depth and sincerity, without sliding into the pseudo-solemnity that can characterise conversation about these topics.

The podcast on Yeats is a great example of this. It’s full of fascinating insights, but is also full of laughter and enthusiasm.

  • Disappointing

In the episode with Tricia Eastman we have a very white looking woman from L.A giving her contribution to the conversation about cultural appropriation by claiming to be Mexican but not sharing anything more about her roots and then claiming that her grandmother lived on Blackfoot land and that that makes her half Indian.

Next she goes on to say something completely incoherent about how majority of the people studying Siberian shamanism were white and thus shamanism belongs to white people. more

  • Intelligent, deep, rich - a diamond in the rough

I listened to this podcast after a long and predictable trawl through all the podcasts under the sun. Sacred Wisdom isn’t something I would usually go for, title taken on its own. But after a few minutes I heard a truly different voice. Something new, something different. Arabella gives us her own, pure, raw and personal account in her introduction. She is open, vulnerable and it’s easy to connect with her. Her voice is honest and interested, intrigued and intriguing. There’s a lot more I want t... more
