「思想と建築」というテーマの背景と構想を語っています。
ロカラジオの新シリーズ「思想と建築」がはじまります。
イタリア、ドイツ、ソ連、そして日本──
建築は、それぞれの時代や国家の思想をどのように映してきたのか。
ファシズム建築、社会主義建築、帝国主義日本、そして戦後日本。
全12回にわたって、「建築は思想のかたちである」という視点から、
20世紀のデザインと権力の関係をたどっていきます。
今回のオープニングでは、シリーズ全体の構想や背景、
そして最近の近況トークも交えながら、
これからの旅の入口をゆるやかに語っています。

ル・コルビュジエが晩年を過ごした、南フランス・カップマルタンの「休暇小屋」。
わずか8畳の空間で、彼は何を考え、何を手放していったのでしょうか。
最終回となる今回は、この小屋に込められた“余白”の思想をめぐりながら、
建築を離れ、ひとりの人間としてのコルビュジエを見つめます。
華やかな都市の構想を描いた巨匠が、最後に選んだのは、
静かで、慎ましく、そして自由な「暮らし」そのものでした。
テレビも電話もない、静かな8畳の小屋。
外の喧騒から切り離されたその空間で、コルビュジエは日々、泳ぎ、書き、考えていました。
“暮らすこと＝考えること”という感覚。
身体と空間、そして思考がひとつに整う、小屋の構造について話しています。
