  • You Love Music, You’ll Love This Podcast

Dave was born in the middle of 80’s rock, and is more about it than me, and is more passionate about it than me. I listen to it while doing yard work, and before I know it the yard work is done, and I’m starting the next podcast. How he and Shane get the people they get, I don’t know. They get some huge names in the music industry.

The #DonFelder Interview - Part 2
Q: Do you think classic albums like Fleetwood Mac's Rumours or Eagles' Hotel California could be made today given current industry practices?
Felder expresses doubt about finding outlets with the same heart and analog warmth today, noting how digital processing often strips emotion from records and how the ecosystem favors viral hits and promotion over traditional album artistry.
Stormbringers & Snake Charmers: The Whitesnake / Deep Purple Story - Part 1
Q: What was it like joining Whitesnake and taking on the 87 era?
Coverdale describes the 80s breakthrough as an intense, fast-moving period where the band's chemistry and a quickly shifting industry forced rapid on-stage growth, including adapting the set for larger venues and the global audience.
#371 #CarmineAppice - The 2026 Interview (+ Carmine’s 2022 appearance)
Q: How do you approach recording drums differently today compared to the past?
I start with the drums and the click, then build the rest around that feel, sometimes reworking guitar parts and adding tempo changes to keep things fresh while maintaining a solid pocket.
#371 #CarmineAppice - The 2026 Interview (+ Carmine’s 2022 appearance)
Q: What inspired you to revive Temple of Blues with Temple of Blues 2?
The idea was to bring blues-based rock into a new light by using the original drum-driven energy but reinterpreting the tracks with modern arrangements and collaborations, keeping the soul of the songs while giving them a contemporary punch.
#363 #KingCrimson Legend #TreyGunn - Part 1
Q: How does the chemistry work in King Crimson with all the different sounds?
It's often chaotic and requires a lot of work to manage the sounds created by multiple musicians.
