The character of Rinn seems entirely pointless (a wizard who seems to either sit out every battle or, because he doesn't have any kind of fighter skills, try and fail to stab things) and I have to admit I tend to skip forward when he's the focus, especially in the season 8. I have some thoughts about some of the other male characters/players which lowers my rating from a 4 to a 3.
Really been enjoying so far
Rivals is great because:
-They switch up the DM every season so you see a variety of DM styles and models rotating DMing for home groups
-An urban location with a base of opporations means these aren't wandering adventureres but heroes looking out for their community
-Solid puzzles
-Great recurring NPCs
-The Whoosh!
It’s the best actual play I’ve found with so far zero combat.
Top notch D&D here. Great story, great characters, great table dynamic. Get into it, enjoy the magic.
