We are fully frustrated as pagan gods concoct half a plan to attack the angels (we think?), Sam and Dean are at best ancillary to the plot, Lucifer is so tired of this shit, and Pestilence rocks up in the final two minutes on Ride or Die - S5E19 - Ha... more
This week, Zachariah and his four faces (one of which is a lion) returns to rep the woes of all middle managers, the show remembers the third Winchester brother and absolutely nobody has a good time. (Also, Waldorph is the crazy one.)

As an old school Supernatural fan with a deep love for Dean Winchester, this pod feels tailor made for me. The hosts are hilarious and thoughtful, they give themselves the space to change their minds about characters and storylines while being unapologetic about their bias and the things they enjoy the most. It’s the kind of perspective you can only get with distance from the show and fandom. They are also very funny and give excellent recs at the end of each episode.
The podcast can definitely be funny at times, but when it comes to meaningful analysis, either there is none or when there is, it’s very surface level. The hosts uncontrollably laugh about things they liked or disliked and that is the bulk of the episodes. It’s fine enough if you’re looking for some laughs, but if you’re looking for in-depth conversations about the characters and the plots, I wouldn’t recommend it.
This is a fantastic trip back to the beginning of Supernatural with two incredibly funny nerds. I enjoy both the in-depth analysis of each episode, and the surrounding discussion which covers everything from the horrors of mid-2000s fashion to whether or not they would pick up a barefoot female hitchhiker in the middle of the night... If you still have a visceral response to ‘Bad Moon Rising’ coming on the radio and if you spent far too many years caring about a couple of idjits and a classic ca... more
I have loved Supernatural since it started airing in 2005, and it’s great to listen to a podcast by two fantastic fanfic authors whom I love a who love this show as well. While I’m not longer in the Supernatural fandom, it’s great to revisit it with a bit of nostalgia.
I've missed listening to these people since they finished their /report podcast. but this is every bit as excellent as i could have hoped for
When I heard that two of my favorite fan authors *of all time* were making a Supernatural pod, I knew (with equal parts enthusiasm and the long-suffering dread of an ex-fangirl who feels herself being pulled back in to SPN) that I’d have to listen.
RoD did not disappoint. It’s funny, irreverent, and thought-provoking, and really brings back the feeling of watching S1 for the first time. Heavily recommended listening for any past (or, g-d forbid, present) SPN fanatics.
I thought I was safely off this tv show’s crazy bandwagon until I stumbled upon this excellent podcast. The hosts are delightful and funny, so of course I’m starting a rewatch of Supernatural.
I think a DARE officer warned me about this in the 90’s.
I’ve never seen an episode of the show they are summarizing but that’s having no effect on how much I’m enjoying this podcast. The banter is great and I love how they tell the story of the episode with the story of their reactions too it. It’s wonderful and I highly recommend it to people who enjoy quick wit with their storytelling.
Come for the nostalgia stay for the thoughtful breakdown of characters, tropes, narrative, and filmmaking. I’m reminded of everything I loved about Supernatural in the early days and why I kept coming back to this trash fire of a tv show. Besides the feels, thinking critically about the effectiveness of each episode on more than just an emotional level is surprisingly fun.
This podcast takes me back to the halcyon days of season 1.
