  • warnings: false "christian"

I was disappointed to find out who Rich really is: a pseudo-Christian and proto-hindu promoter of drugs rather than Jesus Christ, and a willing participant in the Great Deception. Lucifer offers all manner of sweet, pleasant, and easy ways to find facsimiles of communion with God. Rich's promotion of "enlightening" drugs has revealed the vapid nature of his current spiritual state, and I will stand a million miles away from him and all those who are like him.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Social Media Addiction, Texas Data Centers & America’s Aging Power Structure
Q: What is Gerontocracy and why is it relevant to policy?
Gerontocracy describes rule by older people; Moyn argues it shapes policy through wealth concentration and political representation, suggesting reforms to ensure intergenerational fairness.
Social Media Addiction, Texas Data Centers & America’s Aging Power Structure
Q: What is the practical stance of Sid Miller on data centers in Texas?
He advocates for a moratorium and regulatory framework to protect agricultural land, water resources, and grid stability, arguing the current approach lacks oversight.
Why North Korea Is Keeping Its Distance From Trump, the Story of Broadway & This Week’s Biggest Movies
Q: Why is there a difference in Western attitudes toward North Korea versus Iran?
Bechtol notes that while NK's program relies on a mix of capabilities and intent with a deter-driven calculus against regime survival, Iran's behaviors have been framed around broader regional ambitions and terrorism support, which shapes how sanctions and diplomacy are pursued differently.
Why North Korea Is Keeping Its Distance From Trump, the Story of Broadway & This Week’s Biggest Movies
Q: What was the outcome of the 2018-2019 talks between Trump and Kim Jong Un, and why did they fail?
Bechtol attributes the failure to Kim demanding more verification and concessions while Trump's leverage from sanctions waned as Russia and China relaxed enforcement, leading to the talks breaking down after North Korea would not agree to verify all facilities.
Free-Range Parenting, Broadway Dreams & the Summer Box Office
Q: All right, take us back to 2015. How did you decide that your children could walk home from the park?
We believed children could and should have freedom to move around and learn independence, despite concern from others; the experience highlighted how society often responds with fear rather than support when children take steps toward autonomy.
