  • warnings: false "christian"

I was disappointed to find out who Rich really is: a pseudo-Christian and proto-hindu promoter of drugs rather than Jesus Christ, and a willing participant in the Great Deception. Lucifer offers all manner of sweet, pleasant, and easy ways to find facsimiles of communion with God. Rich's promotion of "enlightening" drugs has revealed the vapid nature of his current spiritual state, and I will stand a million miles away from him and all those who are like him.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Deborah Dwork on Saints and Liars, Lt. Gen. Richard Newton on Iran, Cuba & Venezuela
Q: Explain the title to the book for me.
The book Saints and Liars highlights how the rescuers could be both saintly in their humanitarian aims and morally complex, sometimes engaging in deception or illegal acts to save lives, which the author frames as essential to the missions' success.
Ann Skeet on OpenAI Ethics, Zack Beining with Oscars Behind the Scenes
Q: Is there regulation coming for AI, and what does industry regulation look like according to your view?
Skeet argues we are at a leadership crisis in a transformational era and that government leaders have a duty to protect the common good. She cites the public's strong interest in AI ethics and suggests regulation is needed to align business practices with societal welfare, while acknowledging the tension between innovation and safeguards.
Ann Skeet on OpenAI Ethics, Zack Beining with Oscars Behind the Scenes
Q: Explain this to us. What does the OpenAI adult mode mean and why is it controversial?
Ann Skeet explains that erotica implies salacious content and that releasing an adult mode would expand content categories, raising concerns about child protection, company positioning, and the risk to users. She notes OpenAI's broader mission and governance decisions, including industry norms around explicit content and the potential harms of sexualized AI.
Kevin Kiley on Leaving the GOP, Jared Walczak on Wealth Taxes, Bob McNally on Oil Markets
Q: Why did you decide to leave the GOP and run as an independent?
Partisanship has gotten out of control, and the rules of the House force caucusing with a party to access committees, which I want to change to better serve my constituents.
Andrew Day on Iran and Trump, Axel Burlin on Breaking the Scrolling Habit
Q: Should the Iran nuclear deal have been maintained by the Trump administration?
Day suggests staying in the deal had merits because it limited Iran's nuclear capabilities and provided verification; leaving the JCPOA in 2018 removed that framework and increased the possibility of a costly confrontation, though the argument remains contested within conservative circles.
